Here’s a unique offering from Lexmoto, a UK-based Chinese motorcycle manufacturer, christened the LS-N. This brand mainly caters to the learner’s class (50cc and 125cc) and the LS-N’s appeal lies in its design.
One quick look at this motorcycle reveals the inspiration behind the design to be from popular naked motorcycles, which include the likes of the Ducati XDiavel and Kawasaki Z800 . This definitely is not a negative point, as the above mentioned motorcycles have been renowned for their aesthetics.
The headlight on the Lexmoto LS-N is reminiscent of the Z800, while the sharp, chiseled faux tank scoops give the bike a beefy look. The radical looking twin-tip exhaust system draws parallel to the XDiavel; however, this definitely is an overkill considering that the LS-N is a small capacity motorcycle. Also, to change the tone of the exhaust, the rider has an option of playing soundtracks of their choice through an in-built Bluetooth speaker, just like the Revolt RV400 .
As the LS-N is catered to the learner’s class, the 124cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine produces 13.89 PS, while torque output is not available. This motorcycle has a claimed top speed of 110 kmph, which is decent for a motorcycle of this capacity. To give you a perspective, the KTM 125 Duke makes 14.5 PS and 12 Nm.
Underpinnings on this bike consist of an upside down fork and a monoshock, that sit on 17-inch alloys, wrapped with a 110 section tyre at the front and a chunky 150 section tyre at the rear. Braking duties are performed by a petal disc with a 4-pot caliper and a rear disc, equipped with dual-channel ABS.
The Lexmoto LS-N is available in two colours - Grey and Black. It is priced at GBP 3,799, which is equivalent to Rs 3.60 lakh. For this price point in India, you can get established sub-400cc naked motorcycles like the KTM 390 Duke , BMW G 310 R , Bajaj Dominar 400 and Honda CB300R .
This motorcycle will definitely not be launched in India, but if you’re looking for a stylish and fun 125cc motorcycle, you can check out the KTM 125 Duke and Bajaj NS125 .
