Royal Enfield have officially unveiled their new Hunter 350, a smart-looking urban retro based on their J-Series platform. The Hunter will join the previously released Meteor and Classic in Enfield’s 350cc range in November (in the UK).

Compared to the Meteor’s low-slung, cruiser styling, the Hunter is tall and poised with wider 17-inch alloy wheels front and rear and an 800mm seat height.

Enfield say the Hunter has been designed with busy, urban environments in mind so it has ‘compact geometry, nimble steering and confident braking’. Providing that stopping power is a 300 mm fixed disc with twin piston floating caliper at the front and a single piston caliper with 270mm disc at the rear, both with ABS.

The Hunter also gets 41mm non-adjustable telescopic forks with 130mm of travel up front while the twin rear shocks get six-step preload adjustment – all combined with a chassis from Harris Performance.

As with the Meteor 350, the Hunter gets a digital/analogue dash set up including the secondary, smaller screen to the right of the main readout. This will be compatible with Royal Enfield’s turn-by-turn navigation but only as an accessory.

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will be make its European debut at Intermot Cologne in October with prices to be announced at the show. It’ll then hit UK dealers in November available in six striking paintjobs.
